This is just little ol’ me – Michelle Lockhart and my (dusty) corner of the web. I was born, bred, and broken in Mississippi. So how in the world did I marry a really cool British guy? We did the whole “internet dating” thing before it was in style, you see. We were young and wild-eyed. Now we’re just wild-eyed.
Yes, I have a British guy and we have a very soft, lumpy, cute pup named Penny. Home is a pretty neat little place.
I’m a very random person and my train of thought could leave the station (or stay there) and go many different directions. Consistency – what is that?
Working in radio has always been a little dream of mine. I even made up my own radio station when I was a wee teen with all the jingles, liners, songs, and weather. Although I didn’t shoot for a broadcasting degree in college, the sky was still the limit for me and I pestered the fine folks at my local radio station for an interview. “Oh pretty please! Plllleeeeaasseee!” Finally, they had enough of me and scheduled an interview. I was glowing, you hear? I charmed the heck out of them and told them I could learn extremely fast. I guess they fell for my story because I was hired out of 300+ (experienced, I’m sure) applicants and so I reaaaaaaaaallllyyyy had to prove myself. Anxious was NOT the word.
It’s been a fast four years later and I think they would stone me if I even thought about leaving. That was a very, VERY big accomplishment for little ol’ me. If nothing else motivates you, remember my story and then try again.
