To hell with my cardiologist.
I haven't been to a McDonald's in years - whoops, I take that back. For a while, I was getting their lattes and the occasional McSkillet breakfast burrito. Let me re-phrase by saying that I haven't been there for lunch or dinner in years.
Having said that, the name of this retro-fitted menu option alone, is enough to send me to the Golden Arches. This high point of low culture started on the internet blogs in the bigger cities, and has spread like wildfire. I'll actually have a heart attack BEFORE I eat it, if the staff at a Meridian Mickey D's knows what it is when I order it. Now, you may not like the name, so mind the language. As for me...I'm lovin' it.

I've always hated how some people yell "Freebird!" at concerts as a joke. I've always hated how some people yell "Freebird!" at concerts as a sincere request, too. And just imagine how I hated seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd (or the name-brand-endorsed tribute group that dares call itself by that name, anyway) some 10 years ago, and have people yell "Freebird!" for BOTH reasons, only to have Johnny Van Zant say, several times, "Don't worry...we'll get to it."

I've talked about how I like Law & Order before. I actually started to think about the different detectives, lieutenants, and prosecutors that have passed through the differents "brands" of the show (Criminal Intent, Special Victims Unit, Trial By Jury and the original version). I then started to think about how I would team up the different personalities in the different roles - mix and match them, almost like a fantasy sports league!
Here's a team I'd like to see, chosen from all the diffferent "flavors" of the series.
Favorite senior detective - Lenny Briscoe
Favorite junior detective - Alex Eames
Favorite detectives' superior - Anita Van Buren
Favorite senior ADA - Ron Carver
Favorite junior ADA - Abby Carmichael
Favorite DA - Arthur Branch
Then the minor players, of course...
Favorite medical examiner - Elizabeth Rodgers

Some time ago, I was visiting the IHOP, which, as we all know, means International House Of Pancakes. You should be able to get pretty much any kind of pancake, right? No matter what country or custom, right? Belgian waffles, French crêpes, potato pancakes...?
Well, two out of three ain't bad.
You can even get a rib dinner there. But not potato pancakes. At the INTERNATIONAL House of PANCAKES.

My friend Rafferty doesn't sing much karaoke with me. He recently expressed interest in doing "Short Skirt Long Jacket" by CAKE, because it's spoken more than sung. I suggested this song instead. It's angry, it's humorous and it rocks you like a hurricane. It's this week's Friday music video.
